Kanata is a two part resource to be used in the grade 7 -12 classrooms. It was created by Sherryl Sewepegaham. She collaborated with several Indigenous educators, artists, and advisors. This resource is designed to bring Indigenous artists and this music into not only the music classroom but any classroom. This resource is completely FREE! It includes several student activities that allow students to explore Indigenous artists. The websites advertises that it works well both in person and virtually. I highly suggest downloading this resource and using it in your classroom.
